sneak peek: look what we found!

This is not some remnant of the satelitte just shot down, but a handy new grilling aid.  No more relying on the moonlight alone for grilling in the dark, with this genuis gadget your favorite grilling tool can double as a flashlight.  We're not kidding!  This tool won a 2008 Housewares Design Award
and we are excited to be the first to share it with you! This light has a strong stay-put magnet to illuminate your night time grilling. The light contains three LED bulbs and can swivel in any direction for full range of motion.

Fresh from the markets, new product is arriving daily and we plan to continue to give the first look in our "sneak peek" section of this blog. So hope you visit often and let us know what you think of these fantastic finds.

cabin fever: cures for winter skin

Anyone else out there suffering from chronic dry skin? A few of our favorites from Burt's Bees include the ever-popular lip balm, which for a limited time you can get one free with any purchase of $25 or more. (Simply enter the code "BEESWAX" at checkout.) Also, for serious dry skin issues we recommend the Baby Bee Skin Creme, and don't be fooled by the name, it's not just for babies only! For the face, stop spending top dollar for fancy moisturizers we've got two that work miracles (and smell great too!) Finally, we suggest soaking in a warm bath with any of these wonderful bath soaks to rejuvinate your skin and your soul!

things to do:

Looking for something to do this weekend?

We strongly suggest one of our favorite performers, Caroline Goulding will be in Port Huron this Friday with the International Symphony and Saturday in Sarnia. She will be returning this fall for the Lexington Bach Festival, September 11-14. For other ideas check out this terrific blog or stop by Vantage Point located in downtown Port Huron where the St. Clair and Black Rivers meet.
